North West 200 – Exploring the Wild Countryside around this iconic road race

Route Details

While attending the North West 200 Road Race with Honda, we took full advantage of the riders’ rest day on Friday to explore the stunning Northern Irish countryside. Our route took us along the rugged coastline and winding cross-country roads—some of the most scenic I’ve ever ridden.

The stretch from Tor Head to Carnlough instantly earned a spot in my Top Ten Roads to Ride—it’s that good. We also stopped for lunch at Ireland’s highest café, which offers incredible views to go with the food, and paid a visit to the iconic Joey’s Bar in Ballymoney—an essential stop for any motorcycle enthusiast.

If you’re planning a trip to this part of the world, this route is one I’d highly recommend. Great roads, rich history, and breathtaking scenery—what more could you ask for?
